You can now add a kids profile to your Audible account

Amazon

Create a kids profile and share only the titles you choose

If you love audiobooks (and you're one of the 180 million Amazon Prime members in the U.S.), odds are you already have an Audible account (or if not, what are you waiting for?). Audible has one of the most extensive ebook libraries in the world — and now, new features let you share it with your kids, without them being able to access titles you don't want them reading (yes, your spicy beach reads are still safe from innocent eyes).

Audible just announced Kids Profiles, which allow you to add separate profiles for family members to your audible account. All it takes is a few taps to set up, and then any titles you've purchased can be shared to Kids Profiles you create — including titles from Audible's partnership with Disney Publishing, which includes more than 60 kid-friendly stories from the worlds of "Finding Dory," "Marvel’s Avengers," "Mulan," "Toy Story" and more.

In this article: "The Summer I Turned Pretty" by Jenny Han, "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, "Better Than the Movies" by Lynn Painter

Audible features an extensive catalog of kid- and teen-friendly audiobooks, podcasts and Originals — and there's no limit to how many titles you can add to their profiles, though Kids Profiles automatically restricts anything from your library containing explicit content. Kids Profiles, just like yours, can be accessed anywhere a customer has downloaded the Audible app. They come with the usual player controls, like narration speed and sleep timer. And to toggle back to the main user's profile, you'll have to enter your password — so kids can't access titles they shouldn't.

Ready to share your love of stories with young readers? Set up your first Audible Kids Profile today and start loading it with kid-friendly books — we have some suggestions for you in the list below.
