BestReviews' Genius Products Awards of CES 2026

Some CES products are flashy. The best ones are quietly genius.

LAS VEGAS — The BestReviews team was enthralled by all the incredible innovations present at CES this year. However, among all the bright studio lights, eye-catching displays and rideable luggage zooming through the halls, it was easy to get distracted. We even saw a bone-conduction lollipop that can play a song in your head while you eat it.

But while snacking on a song is a fun party trick, that kind of audio magic is usually more useful in practical gear — like the pair of open-ear headphones we tried that let you listen without completely blocking out the world around you.

Sign up for the BestReviews newsletter: Exclusive deals and expert picks, in your inbox.

The products that stick with us tend to be the ones you can picture using next week. The Genius Product Awards cut through the noise to spotlight the standouts that feel truly thoughtful, with real-world usefulness, innovative design and a clever reason to exist.

In this article: Shokz OpenFit Pro, Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra and Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2

These are our 2026 Genius Products of CES

Best accessibility tech

WheelMove

Standard manual wheelchairs’ front caster wheels are notorious for getting stuck in grass and struggle to roll smoothly over cobblestones and uneven dirt without significant effort.

WheelMove is a compact, motorized wheelchair add-on that helps wheelchair users access places that would otherwise be difficult to reach. Beyond off-roading, the 250-watt motor provides power assist for up to 15 miles and helps prevent chairs from picking up speed downhill. The gadget clamps to the front of the chair, weighs less than 20 pounds and can fit in a backpack. WheelMove is available for preorder for roughly $6,000.

Best air purifier

Dreame Furcatch Air Purifier FP10

With a Husky and a German Shepherd at home, I’m constantly fighting a losing battle against pet hair. As much as I love my air purifier, annoyingly enough, its filters inevitably become coated with pet dander and hair, forcing me to vacuum the appliance that's supposed to be cleaning for me.

This Genius product uses a rotating roller and negative pressure to capture hair and dander from the air before they stick to the filter. Then it sweeps them into a sealed antibacterial dust box that you simply dump out. It handles heavy shedding and odors without becoming another chore, making it the perfect upgrade for pet owners.

Best augmented reality glasses

XREAL ROG XREAL R1 AR Glasses

Gamers often sacrifice screen size for portability, but the Asus ROG XREAL R1 AR Glasses project a stunning, simulated 171-inch virtual screen that fits in your pocket. They are the first AR glasses to boast a blazing-fast 240-hertz refresh rate, ensuring your games look buttery smooth. With electrochromic lenses that automatically darken to block out distractions and Bose-tuned audio for immersive sound, they are the perfect companion for your Nintendo Switch 2 or handheld gaming PC.

While official pricing hasn’t been announced yet, you can expect these high-performance specs to arrive in the first half of 2026.

Best cordless vacuum

Narwal V50 Cordless Stick Vacuum

The Narwal V50 Cordless Stick Vacuum targets the daily mess with minimal upkeep. It comes with a clever auto-empty station, so when you dock the vacuum, it automatically clears debris into a large 3.2-quart bin, keeping your hands clean and the unit charged.

Weighing just 3.1 pounds, it is effortless to maneuver, yet it doesn't skimp on power thanks to 210 air watts of suction and smart dirt detection. It even includes a "full-cycle" detangling system to stop hair from wrapping around the brush. Plus, it comes with dual detachable batteries, so you can swap them out for longer cleaning sessions. Pricing and specific availability details haven’t been announced.

Best countertop appliance

Euhomy Leopard X1 Ice Maker

If you’ve ever run out of ice mid-party (guilty!), the Euhomy Leopard X1 has your back. This countertop gadget churns out nine cubes (about a cup) of bullet ice in just 5 minutes (nearly twice as fast as your average bullet ice maker). It’s about the size of a coffee maker and includes an insulated metal ice bucket that can keep the cubes frozen for up to 4 hours.

It’s worth mentioning that filling the bucket completely takes about an hour, so it works best for quick top-offs between rounds, not stocking up days ahead. The machine is launching in April for $150.

Best earbuds

Shokz OpenFit Pro

Shokz’s OpenFit Pro earbuds sit outside your ears and hook over the top, so you can hear your music without feeling sealed off from what’s happening around you. Better yet, they offer a noise-reduction feature that softens noise from the gym to the office.

Combined with massive 11x20mm drivers and Dolby Atmos support, the audio quality is surprisingly rich and bass-heavy for an open design. Battery life is rated at up to 6 hours with noise reduction on and up to 12 hours with it off. Preorders are open now for $249.95, and the earbuds are expected to ship on Jan. 12.

Best electric bike

Segway Myon e-Bike

Segway’s Myon e-bike targets commuters and weekend riders who want an easy, steady ride for a price under two grand.

You get 500W nominal power, 85Nm of peak torque and a 48V/722Wh battery that Segway says can reach up to 80 miles of range. The bike also ditches clunky mechanical levers for smooth electronic shifting and uses internal gyros and sensors to ramp up power gently rather than making things feel jerky. The Myon starts at $1,999 and includes Apple Find My integration, GPS tracking and convenient remote locking.

Best gaming desktop

ASUS ROG G1000

This gaming PC is equally flashy and powerful. Its design centers on a massive 104-liter case that houses a 420-millimeter liquid cooler and a new "ROG AniMe Holo" system. The latter includes a set of three massive fans equipped with hundreds of LEDs that spin so fast they appear to disappear, leaving behind full-color holographic animations that float on the chassis.

Specs top out with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, plus 64 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD. ASUS has not announced pricing or availability yet, so final cost and ship timing remain unknown.

Best dual-screen productivity laptop

ASUS Zenbook Duo

The Asus Zenbook Duo doubles your workspace with two 14-inch OLED displays, so you can keep a document, spreadsheet, browser window or chat open without constantly switching between windows and tabs.

ASUS’ second-generation Zenbook Duo features a redesigned hinge that shrinks the gap between the screens, plus a new textured Ceraluminum finish. It’s powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 chips for better efficiency and packs a massive 99Wh battery to keep those power-hungry screens running. Asus plans to launch it later in Q1 2026, but pricing hasn’t been announced.

Best home security gadget

Reolink ReoNeura AI Security Camera

Traditional security cameras just tell you that something moved. Reolink’s new ReoNeura AI technology tells you exactly what happened. Featured in the new OMVI X Cam, this system lets you search your video history using plain language, such as “man in a red jacket” or “delivery truck,” to find the right clip instantly. It also adds AI-written video captions that sum up activity in plain language, which can save time and additional stress to already stressful situations when you’re sorting out what happened after break-ins.

Best home upgrade

Lutron Caséta Smart Wood Blinds

Lutron’s Caséta smart wood blinds bring real-wood style to smart light control without turning your window upgrade into a whole renovation. They’re made from North American basswood and install wire-free, so a DIYer can mount them and set up without calling an installer.

There’s even a setting that automatically tilts the slats based on your home’s location and the direction your window faces, helping you get useful daylight earlier in the day and cut glare later on. The blinds start at $429 for windows up to 48 inches wide and 80 inches tall and are already available for purchase.

Best pool cleaner

Aiper Scuba V3 Ultra

Aiper’s Scuba V3 Ultra aims to cover most of your pool in a single run, cleaning the floor, walls, waterline and surface. It can even reach tricky areas and clean shallow zones down to just 8 inches of water. It uses dual cameras and AI to spot messes and adjust its path. When you pull it out, it automatically drains the water, so it isn't heavy to lift.

The Scuba V3 Ultra is scheduled for spring 2026 with a $2,299.99 price.

Best portable power station

Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra

Jackery’s new Explorer 1500 Ultra combines a rugged, water-resistant exterior with a 1,536Wh battery capable of powering high-demand devices at 1,800W, keeping essentials like a laptop, a small fridge, or a CPAP machine running during an outage or off-grid weekend. It packs two AC outlets, USB-C (100W), USB-A and a 12V car port.

Despite its rugged build, it is 50% lighter than competitors in its class. It’s now available for an early-bird price of $899.

Best projector

Hisense XR10

If you think a 100-inch TV is big, the Hisense XR10 will make it look like a tablet. This 4K laser projector can cast a massive 300-inch image with 6,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. To put that number in perspective, most high-end home theater projectors designed for dark rooms top out around 2,500 ANSI lumens. Meaning the Hisense is more than capable of being used in a bright room during the day. It also uses an industry-first liquid cooling system to ensure it runs quietly. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on pricing or a release date!

Best robot mop

Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2

As convenient as hybrid robot vacuum and mops are, most share the same disgusting problem: a foul, wet-dog-like smell that lingers after they mop. Eufy hopes to solve that problem once and for all with its latest hybrid robot, which uses oxidized disinfectants in its tank and features a built-in aromatherapy system.

It delivers 30,000 pascals of suction and packs a roller mop that self-cleans six times per second. The dock handles the rest, including emptying dust, refilling water and disposing of the dirty water. At $1,599, it’s a splurge, with a U.S. presale starting Jan. 6 and wider availability on Jan. 20.

Best router

GL.iNet Slate 7 Pro (GL-BE5100)

Public Wi-Fi in hotels, coffee shops and airport lounges can be slow, crowded and hard to trust. The GL.iNet Slate 7 Pro is a foldable Wi-Fi 7 travel router that lets you bring your own network with you, with a 2.4-inch touch screen for quick control.

It also includes three 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports for fast wired connections. Early details suggest it may add a third wireless band, but GL.iNet hasn’t yet confirmed the final wireless specs or price. The device is built on open-source firmware and includes a dedicated side button to instantly activate a VPN, ensuring your data stays private.

Best smart bird feeder

Birdfy Feeder Vista

Birdfy’s Feeder Vista is a smart bird feeder built for people who want better footage than the usual “beak blocking the lens” view. Instead of a traditional seed hopper, it uses a bottom-up system: an air pump moves seed from a sealed lower container to the tray, keeping the cameras’ line of sight clear. It uses a dual-camera setup for panoramic photos and stunning 6K video in a full 360-degree view.

It replaces standard motion sensors with weight sensors to stop false alarms from swaying branches and it automatically captures 120fps slow-motion clips so you can see the mechanics of every landing. Birdfy has not shared pricing or a release date yet.

Best smart lock

Aqara Smart Lock U400

As futuristic as it is to unlock your front door with an app, fingerprint, or keypad, it takes just as much time and effort to do so with a key. The Aqara Smart Lock U400 changes the narrative and unlocks your doors hands-free when you approach with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, thanks to the power of Ultra Wideband Apple Home Key. It's plenty versatile and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor, a hidden keypad and a physical keyhole.

While it’s on the pricey side at $269 and requires a complete dead bolt replacement, the sheer convenience of a door that opens itself seems like magic.

Best speaker

Anker Boom Go 3i

Small speakers are great for travel, but they often lack the battery life to last a whole weekend trip. Anker’s latest portable speaker comes equipped with a massive 22-hour battery and even doubles as a power bank to charge your phone on the go.

Launching this March, this palm-sized Bluetooth speaker is built for the outdoors thanks to its durable IP68 dust- and waterproof-rated design. It pumps out a respectable 15 watts of sound and features a clever "dual-mode" strap that cinches tight onto bike handlebars or clips loosely to a backpack.

The Boom Go 3i is expected to cost $79.99

Best wellness gadget

RENPHO x Headspace Eyeris Zen Eye Massager

If you’ve been staring at a screen all day — or pulling late nights during CES — the RENPHO x Headspace Eyeris Zen is an easy “treat yourself” pick. You get three heat settings (107 degrees F, 113 degrees F and 118 degrees F) and a mix of compression modes and intensities. Plus, the mask physically blocks your vision, so you can’t doom-scroll while using it.

RENPHO says it includes nine Headspace meditation tracks on the device, along with Bluetooth playback for your own audio and it’s designed to be quiet (about 40dB) and lightweight at 9.7 ounces. The eye massager goes on sale Feb. 1 for $129.99.

Release dates and prices listed reflect the time and date of publication and are subject to change.
