One nostalgic feature of the millennial childhood experience was that McDonald's Happy Meal toys were a lot more FOMO-inducing than they seem to be today. Remember the "101 Dalmatians" figurines in 1996? Or the mini Beanie Babies that debuted in 1997 (and lasted — on and off — all the way until 2000)? Those throwback toys are now bonafide collectibles, which makes the craze to find them all back in the '90s make a little more sense. And now, McDonald's is bringing that era back with another type of trinket those of us from that bygone time will definitely remember: collectible cups.
They don't come with Happy Meals this time, because McDonald's is fully leaning into millennial nostalgia by launching a new Collector's Meal, which you'll be able to get starting on Aug. 13. It will feature a variety of combo meals, including breakfast options, that all come with one of six collectible cups designed with imagery of some of McDonald's most memorable toys, including Beanie Babies, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Hello Kitty, Shrek, Jurassic Park, Minions and more.

The Collector's Meals feature a Big Mac or 10-piece McNuggets with fries and a drink, or, at breakfast time, a Sausage Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown and coffee. Unfortunately, they'll only be available for a limited time, so you'll have to hurry if you want to collect as many of these cups as you can. However, if you love the idea of owning a nostalgic McDonald's cup, some of the chain's throwback collectibles can still be found online.
