What is the difference between peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper?

While both peel-and-stick wallpaper and traditional wallpaper look identical once applied, the main difference is the application and removal processes.

Traditional wallpaper always includes some type of adhesive that's either painted on the wall or the back of the paper.
