What separates the Baby Brezza from others on the market is the Wi-Fi capability, allowing you to configure the settings and press start using an app on your phone. Since it doesn’t come into contact with hands, this device also claims to be more hygienic than hand-scooping formula.

Unfortunately, the next step wasn’t quite so simple. First, warning stickers on nearly every piece of the product warned of a distinct procedure to follow to avoid running into problems. However, having reminders on how to use the product correctly was helpful.  

The setup process is quite involved, beginning with disassembling the product, washing, drying and reassembling the machine. You also need to wash the water tank with warm soapy water, fill it up and run a 10-ounce cycle to clean the inside of the device. Downloading the app is the next step, which should be effortless. During the process of looking up instructions, however, many reviewers noted that the app isn’t always successful with Android phones.

After the initial setup, configuring the settings and producing a formula bottle is extremely simple and user-friendly. You can choose between three warming settings: room temperature, body temperature and slightly warmer than body temperature. The size of the bottle ranges from 2 to 10 ounces in 1-ounce increments. To ensure accuracy when measuring the formula, you also need to select the correct formula setting. For newborns, this could be more than one time a day. However, it’s as simple as sliding out the funnel, cleaning and sliding it back in. You can also purchase additional funnels. According to the instructions, the rest of the machine must be cleaned at least once a month or more often if the formula builds up.

Saving time is the most significant benefit of the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced Wi-Fi, especially since you can start a bottle while still lying in bed. If your little one cries until they have a bottle, you’ll love that it cuts back on crying. The temperature setting also seems accurate and saves additional time by not using a bottle warmer or a microwave. Plus, the settings are incredibly intuitive, and there aren’t an overwhelming number of options. However, it still has every feature necessary to produce a formula bottle.

Baby Brezza Formula Pro drawbacks

Unfortunately, there were several problems with the Baby Brezza Formula Pro, starting with the app. Whether it was due to using an Android phone or bugs with the app itself, it took at least 30 minutes to get the app to work and involved creating several accounts, using different phones and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. However, iPhone users may have better luck. But, even after getting the app to work, it was hit or miss on actually starting a bottle. For instance, after pressing start and walking out to get the bottle, the machine didn’t start.

Producing accurate bottles is another issue. With a 4-ounce setting, the machine made anywhere from a 4-ounce bottle to a 6-ounce bottle, creating a different measurement each time. Without knowing whether it’s the water or formula, it’s alarming for a newborn baby who already experiences an upset stomach regularly.

Should you get the Baby Brezza Formula Pro?

Overall, the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced Wi-Fi is a great idea that lacks proper execution. The ability to make a formula bottle while lying in bed at the first hint of crying is intriguing. However, the machine never quite functioned as it should. The uncertainty of knowing whether the bottles are accurate also isn’t worth the hassle. If you don’t mind mixing bottles by hand and want more control over your baby’s bottle, we wouldn’t recommend getting this formula dispenser. For those who are looking for a quicker method to make bottles and have an iPhone, the Baby Brezza might be worth a try.
