How to use the Helix Twilight Luxe Mattress

The Helix Twilight Luxe Mattress arrives rolled up in a box, compressed to take up much less space than it does when fully expanded. When you remove it from the box, it’s wrapped in vacuum-sealed plastic that you can remove with scissors or a knife. Be careful when taking off the plastic to avoid accidentally slicing the mattress. The testing lab found that it helps to have a second person help you remove it from the box and set it out in a clear space where you can unroll it. 

Once you remove the plastic, unfold the mattress. The instructions included from Helix explain that it takes two full hours for the mattress to expand fully. The lab found that it looked like a proper mattress and was ready for sleeping after that period. However, it wasn’t until the next night, nearly 36 hours later, that it felt like a brand-new firm mattress, so the testing lab recommends allowing it to expand for at least two nights for the best results.
